NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

AHHHHHH WE DID IT!!!! At a little before midnight last night I was a nervous wreck but we pulled through and won the college world series!!!!! What a great day for Gamecock fans. After over 20 years of faithfulness and dedication, good, bad and ugly we have made the big screen!!! My wonderful father, who shaped me into this crazy Gamecock fan, is flying in from NY today and weather permitting, will get to see the guys coming off of the plane from Omaha! I'm super jealous b/c that is something you just don't ever forget...for a sports fan at least. This morning Paul Nathan called me to make sure I was able to stay up until the end (I'll admit BJ and I both took naps when we got home yesterday to be able to stay up) and I felt like my adrenaline started going again just talking about it.
DOUBLE DIGITS!!! Today is 99 days until Davis' due date. BJ and I were discussing last night how it has flown by and seems like just yesterday we were still keeping our "secret". Hopefully Monday I'll have updated pics of his nursery with his crib put together :) I don't want to rush baby daddy when he's had two nights on 4 hours of sleep due to the baseball games.
Also, today is the day that Matt and Lindsay find out what they're having! I can't wait to hear the big news. She took the gender prediction test like I did and it said boy so we'll see if it's correct :) I'll be sure to let yall know if Davis is going to have a buddy or a girlfriend!

100 days

AHH! When I logged on to theBump this morning it said 100 days until Davis' due date!! Yowzers that doesn't seem that long...as in 14 wks!!! Phew I can't wait.
I went and picked up his crib and chest of drawers yesterday. As gay as it may sound it is absolutely perfect, beautiful and more than a hoped for. I can't wait to see it all set up!
GO COCKS!!! After a very long game (started at 7:30 and got over after 11!!) we won 7-1! We play again tonight and if we win we are the national championssssss!!! AHHHH That would be awesome!
I'm sooo behind on all of my shows so after this tournament I have lots of DVR to catch up on :) I've already heard how juicy the bach. was last night can't wait to see it.
Lastly, look what came out last week... I can't wait to get it!! My dad called me yesterday from the airport telling me that he saw it. (My whole family reads her series.) We normally know exactly when the new ones are released so that we know when to rush and get it. What a great summer read this will be. Janet never disappoints!

WOO-HOO!!

I have SO much to be excited about today!
#1 Our Gamecocks not only beat the tigers once, but twice, to advance to the National Championship. That's right the series starts tonight at 7:30 against UCLA, best out of three. Both games were so exciting/intense. Friday night I watched the game alone at home (BJ had to go to bed early for work the next day.) And let me tell you, if there was a peeping Tom peeping in my windows at the end of the game he would have been frightened! Just so you can get the image, I, big belly and all, was in my granny nightgown jumping up and down like a crazy person. Seriously Roxie was looking at me like I was crazy! Of course I had to run in and wake hubs and let him know the good news. And after Saturdays game, I'm surprised I have any fingernails. PHEW they kept me on the edge of the couch!
#2 Our house is slowly but surely coming along. Ya see, we're not just doing a nursery, we're doing something to the whole house. But, most importantly the nursery looks great even though it's still empty! However, I'm going today to pick up some FURNITUREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! I can't wait to go home and watch BJ put the crib together! Here is a sneak peak...
Just some stuff that he's gotten already :)
His curtains :)

#3 I got a very sweet surprise in the mail from my cousin Leslie. Don't yall just love surprises in the mail?!? Well here it is...
#4 Davis also got tons of stuff from my cousin Lindsay this weekend. She just recently moved to Knoxville, TN and we miss her so much. I went to see her and she had all sorts of goodies (I forgot to take a pic!) He got some clothes, diapers, wipes, finger puppets, bibs, a little crawl through tunnel thing....he is such a lucky little boy :)
#5 My Aunt Suzie (mom's sister) turned 50 on Saturday. My uncle and cousins hosted a great Luau for her bday dinner. Here are two pics that Lindsay took.
Grandma, Aunt Suzie and Mom

And Cole helping Aunt Suzie blow out the candles..too cute!!!

USC....GOOOOO COCKS!!!

What a wonderful day in Gamecock Country :) But, seriously I could throw up just thinking about tonight's game! Seriously makes me sick to my stomach. Here in South Carolina you're one of two, a Gamecock or a Tiger. There's no in between, you don't pull for the other when they're playing someone else. You just don't do it. Ya see, my blood, as well as most of my friends and family, runs GARNET!! It doesn't matter what the sport is the "true" fans are always there to pull on the gamecocks even if it's sitting on their couch in front of their tv. As I hope all of you know, the gamecocks made it to the College World Series. We lost to Oklahoma, beat Arizona State, had an AMAZING game last night to beat Oklahoma and now play our all time rivalry the Clemson tigers tonight. AND to top it off, we have to beat them tonight and tomorrow night to put them o-u-t! I'm not sure my nerves can handle this. Ya see, we've done it before a few years back but it's not a situation that you like to get yourself in. I will probably be watching the game at home with hubs or at my parents b/c I don't handle trash talking very well. Mostly when it comes to football. The few friends that we have that are ugly orange lovers love to talk trash and most of the time it's the ones that don't even follow sports!! They probably couldn't name a person on the dang team!!! So I'm going to leave it at that and GO COCKS!
I WANNA BE A BILLIONAIRE SO FREAKIN' BADDD....I can't get this song out of my head today but it's so true. Not so much a billionaire but wouldn't it be nice to not have to think about money?? With the little one on the way we have started to "update" our house and it's never ending in case you didn't know. I mean we, mostly I, keep thinking of more stuff to do! ha And to think what it would be like to be able to buy allll of the cute things I see for sweet Davis? If I were rich I would still work...at least part time. Can you guess what I would do though?? I would love to have a boutique that had all sorts of things from children, to home, you know all the cute stuff, maybe even clothes. I don't know but it sounds like it would be fun. AND my husband would finally have that dang pool he keeps talking about and the boat. Hey it's nice to dream??
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! We're laying low. BJ is working tomorrow and we have Aunt Suzie's 50th bday dinner celebration tomorrow night. I'll leave you guys with some pics of me and lover boy from past Gamecock games. Can't wait to share these memories with Davis :)

25 wks

I'm no longer given descriptions by week, now it's by month. This month Davis is the size of an eggplant. He weighs 1 1/2-2lbs this month and is 13.5-14.5 inches long. He's working with his eyes, by practicing blinking, working his mouth to prepare for feeding after birth and also building up his immune system. If we could see inside we would know what color his hair is now.
Me this week...Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 25 weeks Friday
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 11 lbs total at last appt.
Maternity Clothes: I am wearing them and they are so much more comfy!
Best Moment this week: There wasn't just one! Every "little" thing just gets me so excited these days. Watching his nursery come together, seeing BJ get excited about him, hanging his clothes up in his closet, looking at his book collection adding up. BJ and I keep just walking in there to "look" even Roxie keeps going in there. Lastly, I found out today that another piece of his furniture is in. I think I'm going to get them this weekend and that just sends me over the moon!!! ahhh only 15 wks to get ready :) Also we "pre-registered" with the pediatrician last week.
Gender: It's A Boy
Movement: I LOVE IT and love seeing it!
Food Craving: sweets
What I miss: Sushi!!!! yum-o
Sleep: Like a rock
What I am looking forward to: Going to pick up his furniture, hanging his curtains, "watching" BJ put his crib together and putting his bedding on it. AND we MAY have a middle name :) (Now that it is all coming together I think BJ realizes he needs to decide.)
Belly Button: In
Symptoms: Just getting bigger everyday. Especially over the past two weeks. Seems like I've been a little more tired too.

Randomness

#1 We are almost in the double digits people!! 107 days, just over 15 weeks until our due date! Last night I was watching TV and BJ was doing who knows what and he came in and said do you ever just walk in his room? Yes, actually I do it all the time! I find myself opening the closet (that's where all of the stuff that we've bought so far is) and just looking at everything again to see if I missed something. Even Roxie keeps going in there and just walking around and we are frequently finding her bones in there.
#2 This is our first year not spending July 4th at Edisto :( It makes me sad but I just don't know if I can handle a bunch of drunks crammed into a house this year. Now that it is next week that we would be there I'm wondering if we should have decided to go anyways..at least for the weekend. But, we have so much stuff to do around the house with it being a free weekend. We'll see what happens...
#3 Thank the good Lord Casey is off the bachelorette!! woo hoo he drove me nuts and if I heard "I will guard and protect your heart" one more time....I think it's either Justin or Frank that leave next week due to a gf issue...spoiler alert!!
#4 Jake and Vienna sausages spilt...I tried to tell him he couldn't turn a hoe into a housewife :)
#5 I'm one step closer to having our maternity photo session booked! I gave her three dates to choose from! hollerrrr I can't wait to do those! Soon I'll have to decide on an outfit!
#6 I still haven't seen SATC2 and I'm hoping that I get to see it this weekend!!!
#7 I'm ready to go home to my dvr, hubs and baby girl..
later haters

New York Pictures

At the airport early but excited!

We played tic tac toe, hangman, read books...it was a quick flight :)

Central Park (Biltmore Castle)

Running through Central Park

Lunch

May we never forget...

We're Backkkk

We made it home safely last night! We had a great trip but were exhausted and had one extremely excited baby girl to see!
We left really early Thursday morning (4:30 from home) for the airport and got to NY at 8:30. We went to our condo and dropped off our luggage and started touring immediately. We walked around Central Park, got lunch, then went to see the World Trade Center (the girls walked through Century 21 but it was way to crowded to shop). We stopped by a store and bought some necessities..(bottled water, beer, coke, chips and ice cream) and went back to the condo. Most of us napped while BJ, Paul Nathan and Kelley went bar hopping. Later we went to eat at a pizza place, caught some of the Lakers game (of course I stopped watching after about 30 mins of not seeing my bff Klhoe) and called it a night.
Friday we got up and went to a little cafe for breakfast and headed to see the Statue of Liberty. After about 2 hours in the crowded heat we boarded a ferry. It took us to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. (this trip took up most of the day but worth it) We went back to the condo, got ready and headed to see the Yankees. The subway to the Yankees game was absolutely miserable. We were packed in that thing, couldn't move and boy was it hot. We arrived at the stadium two hours early...a little early but it was still fun. Half of us went to the museum and the other have just toured the stadium (anything to stay out of the sun at this point). The boys (Turner and Cole) really enjoyed the game and were the life of our section. Cole was a dancing machine and Turner made friends with everyone. At one point I heard him tell a guy "my mom does taxes" haha too funny! Cole kept yelling Go Braves and everyone just laughed. We headed home in the sixth inning. Mom and I took the boys home and everyone else stopped at a bar to catch the rest of the game. Cole and I had ice cream in bed while watching cartoons.
Saturday we had breakfast at the house and headed to Times Square. Everyone loved it. We went in numerous stores including Hard Rock Cafe (where I bought Davis a onesie), the Hershey store, the M&M store (Cole absolutely loved this one), Toys-R-Us (Mindy and the boys rode the ferris wheel), had lunch and headed back to the house to rest. That night Mom, Kelley and I went to dinner and see The Lion King while the others went out to eat and some out for drinks.
Yesterday was travel day. (and Father's Day! I gave BJ a Guy Harvey tshirt with a matching onesie for Davis)
We had a wonderful trip and are so thankful for our awesome parents. Turner said next year we should go to Hawaii...haha I'm thinking somewhere close with an infant :)
