Party Time

Sushi last night was GREAT and the company wasn't too bad either ;) When I got home I took hot bath with my book and was out shortly thereafter.
No big plans for tonight since hubs has to work tomorrow. Myself on the other hand have a big day! I will have Turner and Cole for the day. The plan is to meet Heather and Ava for lunch and then go to Monkey Joe's (www.monkeyjoes.com) for an afternoon of fun with Nicole and her kids. I'm super excited about our little play date. I just hope it doesn't get cancelled b/c of the nasty weather we are "supposed" to get.
Saturday Night we are having friends over for dinner for Tripp's birthday. Still undecided as to what I will prepare....
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend :)

So thankful!

Yesterday something happened that made me realize how blessed I truly am. A girl from my hometown, who was married with kids(one being just a few months old), her husband died in his sleep. At the age of 35!! It just breaks my heart. I can't imagine. Please remember to count your many blessings...life is too short and you never know what could happen.
On the other hand, one of my college roommates finds out today the sex of her twins!
That's all for today kids...

UNO!

So the weekend didn't go as planned but still went well. Friday BJ found out he had to work 10hrs on Saturday so date night got cancelled...or should I say adjusted..Tina, Ashley H. and I decided to have dinner and a movie. We went to Carrabba's and to see It's Complicated. It was pretty good...funny! Saturday my plans to keep the boys were cancelled b/c of the horrible stomach virus that is going around. Trey, Mindy and Cole had it. I went to Payton's bball game that morning, then to see gma, then to pick up Turner. He was tired of being cooped up b/c everyone else in his house was sick. That night we ordered take out with my parents and TD and I took a surprise for the entertainment. One of my favorite past times includes my family playing Uno. We used to have so much fun. I decided it was time to teach Turner. Of course halfway through the game he decided he didn't want to play with Grandma anymore b/c she was losing...he needed to play with Duke (of course he was the one winning). We played for hours. Such a nice evening. Sunday we picked up Gma for church (she's feeling much better), went to lunch at Duke's BBQ (my Sunday fav), then BJ and I hit up Wal-Mart, Lowe's and stopped by Matt's new house. Last night I cooked lima beans, mac-n-cheese, grilled pork chops (hubs did the actual grilling) and a pound cake for BJ, Matt and I. It was my first experience with the cake and the actual cake part went well but not so much for the lemon glaze! What the crap is 4x sugar?!?! I guess I'll have to figure it out for next time.
Oh and was it sad that even though we had some previous gamecocks playing for the Vikings that I wanted the Saints to win for my bff Kim's sake?!?!?! BAHAHAHAHAHA
Later Taters...

Finally FRIDAY!!

I'm going to fist pump my way through this morning at work. Yeah I said fist pump....Jersey Shore is such a hoot. Last night there was just way too much on tv. I'm seriously addicted to tv. If my tight husband doesn't cave it and let us get dvr I'm going to lose it :) So Grey's and Private Practice was good but I was still looking for more. I missed Real Housewives of OC and Jersey Shore finale and the reunion. Guess I'll have to catch the re-runs over the weekend.
Today I'm get to leave work at 1...hollerrrr I should probably go to the gym but I'm thinking..NOT. Tonight is date night with the hubby...yay...it's been a while since we've had date night. I'm hoping I can talk him into seeing It's Complicated! (I'll def let you know) Then tomorrow we're keeping Cole for Trey and Mindy to go off for her bday.
Oh and Gma is doing much better. She was so excited when we went to see her yesterday. She had lots of visitors, the room was full of flowers and she loved her cake that I took her. We're thinking she is coming home this morning!!! God is good!

Happy 70th Birthday Grandma :)

So as you can see, today is my Grandma's 70th birthday. We had a nice dinner planned for tonight, being this would be her first birthday without my Popa. However, yesterday she went to the dr because she felt short of breath and they admitted her to the hospital for pneumonia and copd.
Last night I went and sat with her for a couple hours. She seems better to me. She was in great spirits. While I was there I got to see one of my very good friends, Tina, who works the night shift. It was good to catch up with her and I even got a late Christmas gift from her..a really cute beaded necklace and earrings. When I was leaving the hospital, my Aunt Lisa was walking in, she had tripped and thought her arm was broken. It was, poor thing. Then it was home to the hubby, leftovers and the couch for abc comedy night. Call me a dork if you want but Modern Family and Cougartown are hilarious!!
After work we're headed to the hospital with a small cake for a birthday celebration. Here is my all time favorite picture of me with my Grandma and Popa...

2010

2009 was a great year. Crazy busy, but great. It had some really highs and some sad lows. It was our first full year as Mr. and Mrs. Roy Samuel Ehrhardt, Jr. (woohoo) We had a lot of pre-wedding parties and weddings, including but not limited to my bother, Paul Nathan and Kelley, as well as numerous childhood friends, such as Say-rah & Steve-o, Shaney & Hillary, Blake & Charlie, and Matt & Lindsay...phew what an expensive year. We also lost my Popa in September which was really hard.
As the new year started I decided to make two resolutions.
1. To be a better wife. (I'm sure BJ is so excited about this one) I don't think I'm a bad wife I just think that there is always room for improvement. Maybe I should cook and clean a little more, whine and complain a little less and just enjoy my husband!
2. To save money. (I'm sure BJ is even more excited about this one) I don't go crazy but I do love to shop. What girl doesn't?!? I've decided that every paycheck I will put a certain amount into my savings account...you got that right MY savings accout..hahaha It also wouldn't hurt to start using coupons. I've attempted before but wasn't very successful.
Here's to twenty-ten!

Newbie

After recently becoming addicted to reading different blogs I decided to start my own. I found myself going crazy looking at complete strangers blogs and loving it. Maybe a little obsessed?!? haha I don't think so. I love looking at people's pictures and updates and getting ideas of my own. We'll see where it goes from here.
