So far this summer we have spent our spare time working around the house, hanging out by the pool, working around the house, playing with Davis, working around the house, watching Woody and Buzz (Toy Story), and working some more. Did yall know that my husband is a slave driver?!? :) But seriously!! We are having a shower for my cousin, who is having twins next month and he is trying to finish every little project possible. In other news we have a contract on our old house and it is scheduled to close in the next week or so. Once that happens then our pool will be up and running and boy are Davis and I excited about that! I can't wait to have a little extra money to spend at the new house once we no longer have two house payments. I see me buying some patio furniture at the end of the season for next summer..or just in time for Davis' 2nd birthday by the pool! Although you can't tell by listening to me and all of our "projects" we have done tons to the house and it already is our home! Pictures to come :)
We are still alive and kicking!!! We have had some interesting months to say the least. We had a big scare with our wild man toddler. In April he spiked a high fever and it caused him to have a seizure, which caused his mama to have a mild hear attack. Really, he knows how to keep me on my toes! He is into everything! Climbing, running, jumping, and repeating everything we say, is he how he spends his days. We moved into a new home this month and he LOVES it, he has lots of hiding places (just listen for the giggles when you call his name and you'll find him), a huge yard and he can't wait for his daddy to fix his "pooool"!!! We enrolled Davis in swimming lessons and he rocked it! He was def the star of the class. Although he didn't really like doing what everyone else was doing. He just wanted to JUMP MOMMY JUMP :) He melts my heart! He is in love with "Woody Buzz" aka Toy Story and watches it numerous times a day. His favorite toy is still a ball. He is loving grapes and strawberries right now.
Mommy and Daddy are definitely enjoying this stage you are going through of you "hepping" (helping) and so interested in everything going on around you. We love you to the moon and back!
*Still have pictures to post... I am so behind on blogging it isn't funny! I mainly go to work, come home and cook and play with our rotten boy. Once he is asleep I clean, catch up on my shows or read other blogs. So, for my memory here are the last three months....
We have been busy going to birthday parties, wedding parties, throw in Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and a trip to Orlando and you have our three months.
Davis is quite the busy fella, into EVERYTHING. You absolutely loves being outside or chasing ROX around the house. That's what you call her anyways. And it's not just Rox it's ROXXX. Lord help me.
You wears 18-24 mth clothes, size 5 double wide shoes and 24mth jammies.
We are bottle free! You went from getting a bottle before bedtime to no ba-ba's!
Your favorite song is "If you're happy and you know it" and your favorite part is "stomp your feet!"
You try your hardest to say the blessing not just when sitting at the table but all the time...when given a cookie or sometimes just when playing with toys. You say ABCDEFG Thank you God for feeding me! AMEN! Although it sounds like ABC blah blah blah AMEN yay!!!! MELT.YOUR.MAMA'S.HEART
You have 11 teeth, or at least we think. We don't like to stick our fingers in there to check.
You eat anything and everything.
List of things you says...
Daddy (pronounced Dadeee)
No (pronounced noooowa)
Sock You try to say a lot of other things but we don't always understand them. Davis, you are such a joy to be around. You definitely know how to light up a room and always manage to get lots of attention with those big brown eyes. Love you to the moon and back!!!
I'm a wifey to a handsome hubby and a new mama to a sweet baby boy! We live in a small town in SC and couldn't love it more. I'm a lover of all things smocked and monogrammed. God has blessed me with a beautiful and healthy family and I am forever grateful.
