Trash

Jersey Shore
Real Housewives of NJ
Jerseylicious
Bachelor Pad
Okay..we all love it...some don't like to admit to it but secretly you love it (I often catch B "enjoying" them)....what is it?? Good 'ol trash tv!!! I seriously cannot get enough. I often wonder what it was like before I had DVR?!? (As if it were that long ago!)
This summer while all of my regular shows have been on break I have become consumed in the reality tv world. There is seriously something every night!
My summer tv schedule...
Sundays: T.O. Show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians (my fav family)and Army Wives (which sadly ended last week)
Mondays: The Bachelor Pad and Real Housewives of NJ
Tuesdays: Teen Mom
Wednesdays: Real World
Thursdays: JERSEY SHOREEEEE and I was watching Bethany Getting Married too
Fridays: Jerseylicious
I mean really I get so wrapped up in these shows...like they are my real life "friends". I know that they are silly but they are SO entertaining.
Last night while watching Bachelor Pad they kept showing all of the upcoming season premiers for all of the abc shows and that just got me even more excited...I mean really I'm going to be home for 6 weeks I'm going to need some good stuff to watch while my sweet baby is occupied. I think I should go ahead and make sure my dvr is set to record everything in advance "just in case" it slips my busy mind. Is that possible..to set something a month in advance?!? We'll find out soon :)
Finally, the encouragement for this post came from the revealing of the new cast of.... I have to admit...I'm slightly disappointed. The only people I'm looking forward to watching are Audrina and "The Situation"...

Craziness...

Well we have been crazy busy since early Friday morning. We knew it was going to be a long weekend but didn't expect what started it off...
Friday morning on my way to work I was in a little accident. An 18wheeler ran into the back of me at a stop light on my way to work. After over an hour of sitting and finally making it in to work my mom insisted on me call Dr. C to see if I should come in. I felt 100% fine and told my mom she was being silly. However, I called Dr. C and she told me that to be on the safe side that I should report to Labor and Delivery and be monitored for a couple hours!!! My heart immediately dropped at the sound of Labor and Delivery...and I thought I was ready to hear those words. I hung up and immediately called B and he had the same response "what do you mean we need to report to Labor and Delivery???" SO we nervously made our way past the nursery of "new" babies and into L&D. We (I) was hooked up to 3 monitors and told they would be back in an hour or so to read my results. We watched my childhood fav Full House, a Baby Story and my belly (literally..he was going nuts w/ those monitors on my stomach) for about two hours, told everything was okay and released. PHEW what a relief! God was definitely watching over us. The whole time we were there we just kept talking about our "next" trip to TRMC and how exciting it would be to welcome Davis into the world with all of our loved ones there.
We then had to head to Cola for the weekend for Kemp and Erin's wedding festivities. We had a great time for one last hoorah with most of our close friends. There were preggos EVERYWHERE!! We were all comparing stories, registered items, nursery details, etc. (And can you believe I was the only prego having a boy?!? Davis is going to have his hands full.) I had a blast people watching...esp Sat night as it got later and the wine was pouring heavily :) We took tons of pics with everyone's cameras but my own. It was not wanting to cooperate for some reason. Hopefully paparazzi Sarah will send me some soon.
Sunday I had another crazy busy day...a baby shower for my cousin, a 31 party at Mindy's and ended the evening with supper celebrating Daddy's 54th bday.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm headed home to relax hopefully! SO glad we have a long weekend coming up :)

Not quite ready but this was taken on 34 wks exactly..

Playing around with his car seat...
Changing table and frames w/ no pics haha

His closet is filling up...
We are so lucky to have made it this far with all of the "scares" that we have had throughout this pregnancy but Davis and I remain 100% healthy and I am so anxious to meet this little fella!

What I miss: sushi and beer
Sleep: It's hard to get comfortable but I sleep good once I'm there....plus all of the bathroom breaks...yikes and apparently I snore pretty loud and I've been doing some serious drooling...haha

Busy Bee

Phew this week has been crazy busy. We had a new attorney start so I have been slammed at work and when I get home I just want to sit on the couch and not have to move! BJ would probably say "what's new" to that..kiss my butt.
Yesterday I was a bit agitated when hubs called to let me know that the roast in the crock pot that I thought I had turned on yesterday morning was off. Meaning hadn't cooked at all, sitting on the counter...what a waste...and I was really looking forward to it. Needless to say, Miss Priss will be eating good this week. (Of course, we cooked it thoroughly first.)
We have a crazy weekend ahead of us so it's just going to remain busy until next week.
We will end the crazy weekend with a birthday celebration for my dad/Duke on Sunday evening and then Mrs. Karen's bday is on Tuesday.
BTW...We got the rest of our maternity pics back and we're trying to decide what we want now.
And another thing...Davis likes to stick his butt out all the time now....makes me wonder what he's up to in there. I'm beginning to feel like I can't sit at my desk all day now. He's just too cramped!
Peace out homies!

Happy TWO years to my hunny bunny!

Two years ago I was preparing to walk down the aisle of our church and say I Do to my best friend. Today (hypothetically speaking) I'm getting ready to walk down the aisle of Labor and Delivery. My oh my where time takes you and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
We had a wonderful weekend in Charleston celebrating our anniversary/babymoon. We walked, shopped, and ate until we were miserable. We got up early Saturday and headed to the outlets for some deals for Davis and BJ, had lunch at 5 Guys, which I had been craving, went to Best Buy, Babies R Us and Target. Rested a little at the hotel then walked all over downtown Charleston, had an appetizer and drinks (mine obviously virgin) and paid a poor pedicab to cycle us back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We had dinner at Charleston Crab House and dessert at Ben & Jerry's and were asleep by 10 :)
We finally got our video camera as well. And, let me tell you, I'm going to seriously hurt him if he doesn't stop using it!!! AHHHHH I mean really he woke my up Sunday morning by videoing me, he has videoed me watching tv while he did laundry (which never happens and saying Davis this is what your mom does while daddy does everything), even came in the bathroom while I was peeing. Can you say CRAZY :)
Dear Sweet Husband,
Who would have thought seven years ago this is where we would be?!? You are an awesome husband and I know that you will be an amazing father to our sweet baby boy. You are my best friend and my rock and I can't imagine life w/o you. You always make me laugh, even when I'm mad or upset (which only makes me more mad or upset ha!). Hang on b/c the ride has just started!
To many more years,
Wifey

It's the stinkin' weekend!!

It has finally arrived! IT'S FRIDAYYYYYYYYY! Can I get a whoop whoop?!?!?
We have quite the weekend planned celebrating our Anniversary/Babymoon! Actually we have very little plans..as B would say "we're shootin' from the hip" (a/k/a going with the flow) all weekend. The only requests that I made were that we go away, as in staying in a hotel, shop, eat and have fun enjoying just "us"! Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be sure to have lots to talk about on Monday, which is our actual anniversary. Happy 2 year anniversary to meeeeeee and hubs/baby daddy :)

33 wks

During these final weeks of pregnancy, your baby enters his "finishing period." This is exactly what it sounds like: Your baby's organs, skeleton, and body are well formed, but he needs a little more time to finish getting ready to take on the world. TheBump says that he is the size of a honeydew. By now he weighs a good 4-1/2 pounds and measures more than 17 inches long, pushing the height of your uterus nearly to your rib cage. His toenails have completely grown in, as has any hair on his head. Your amniotic fluid level is at its highest about now. The placenta is still providing oxygen to your baby through the umbilical cord, but your baby is practicing his breathing regularly, swallowing amniotic fluid as he opens and closes his mouth and exercising his diaphragm muscle. He continues to store iron in his liver, and the connections between his brain cells keep spreading like tiny tree branches. Neurons and synapses are developing between those brain cells, forming connections so that he'll have the skills to thrive as an infant.

Me this week...Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 33 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 21lbs
Maternity Clothes: Of course
Best Moment this week: Walking in his room numerous times a day just to look at all the stuff that we got at the shower this past Sunday! He sure is a lucky little boy!
Gender: It's A Boy...Davis Samuel Ehrhardt
Movement: I LOVE IT and love seeing it but I'm pretty sure he's running out of room...
Food Craving: nothing crazy just food in general
What I miss: sushi
Sleep: It's hard to get comfortable but I sleep good once I'm there....plus all of the bathroom breaks...yikes and apparently I snore pretty loud HA
What I am looking forward to: our Anniversary/Babymoon getaway this weekend.
Belly Button: In for now...
Symptoms: Been a bit emotional this week and I'm starting to get a bit uncomfortable sitting at a desk all day.

Snore Monster

This is the new name that hubs has given me. I'm sorry but I truly cannot help it. He has been sleeping on the couch (not sure why he doesn't go to the other bdrm)some when I get too loud. A couple weeks ago when I spent the night with Sarah she said she tried ear plugs, when those didn't work she moved to the couch too. I've been getting some really good sleep and I guess that comes with it or so I have been told.
Another thing I have been dealing with is my maternity pants are starting to feel tight?!? I mean is this normal?!?! Nicole said the same thing happened to her. I think I've spent enough on maternity clothes at this point and I don't want to spend any more but it looks like I may have to bite the bullet and buy 2 more pairs of pants that I can wear to work. It seems strange b/c I haven't gained any weight in a few weeks but my stomach has def gotten bigger!
Here is the sneak peek that the photographer put on fb until the rest of the maternity pics are done...I am SO pleased with this one and can't wait to see the rest...(and yes I got a little emotional when I saw it)
Lastly, Turner started first grade this week! I can't believe how time flies!!

Daddy a/k/a Duke has been working in town this week so he has shared these two pics from the afternoons with the boys...so rotten yet so adorable ;)

Whirlwind of a Weekend

We had such an exciting eventFULL weekend!
Friday we had out maternity pictures done (which I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE) and had dinner with Nicole and the kids.
Saturday BJ had to work and I cleaned house and caught up on my dvr ;) Then we had a date night to the grocery store (Wal-Mart) and Zaxby's (how classy right??). Mama and Daddy kept miss priss for us since the weather was so nasty so we hung out a little with them when we got back into town.
Sunday was nonstop craziness. We went to church, had lunch with mom and dad, mom and I headed to my shower (which was absolutely amazing..we are so blessed to have such loving friends and family...Davis got some REALLY good stuff), BJ came and loaded all of our gifts, mom and I went to Carmen's baby shower, then to a Ragsland trunk show, and finally home to put away and put together. Needless to say I was exhausted last night.
Also, I have managed to scare the poop out of my mom and husband this weekend...
Sunday morning I awoke to BJ's phone beeping with missed calls from my mom (my phone was off). I immediately panicked when I saw that they were at 5AM. I told BJ that he would have to call her and see what was wrong that I just couldn't take any bad news...well jokes on me...someone called mom and dad's house at 5am, when mom got to the phone it had quit ringing, she looked at the id and saw my number, immediately thought I was in labor or something was wrong, she called our phones and couldn't get us so she came to the house to see that all of the lights were off and both cars were home..she went home, woke dad up, he looked at the id and saw that the call from me was from 5PM the previous day...the id hadn't picked up the 5am caller.
THEN, this morning when B left for work he put Roxie outside. Well about 15 mins later she was going crazy barking and acting fool, so much that it woke me up and I of course knew "something" was outside. Of course, me being the scaredy(yes I know that's not a word) cat that I am, was scared to go outside in the dark to see what it was, I call B so that he can be on the phone with me when the "something" gets me (haha..why I didn't grab a flashlight or something I have no clue) he doesn't answer so I brave up and see on my own. Only to not be able to see what it was, I'm assuming a snake, get little miss psycho and run back inside. I left my phone on vibrate in the kitchen, like always, after tossing and turning and getting crazy dog settled down I'm half asleep when all of a sudden I see lights on in my house and my husband busting through the bedroom door...freaked out that something was wrong he had been trying to call and decided when he couldn't get me to come home to see what was up (keep in mind he works 30 mins away)!! I felt horrible that I had him so worried..Needless to say, I think I'll be keeping my phone in the bedroom with me from now on to save everyone a heart attack!
Sorry for the rambling...now for some pics :)

Such excitement!

I ordered the cutest hospital outfit for Mr. Davis from SheSheMade and BJ and I both were thrilled with the outcome. Hubs said it's time for me to start buying different sizes now...I can't help it that I keep finding the cutest things! (I mean really those little baby jeans from The Gap that I got last weekend were just too stinkin' cute!)
ANYWAYS...
We have such an exciting weekend! We have our maternity pictures this afternoon (this is what I'm wearing...) and I have my first baby shower on Sunday, which I am so thrilled about. I can't wait!! Hopefully I'll have some pics for you on Monday :)
Happy Weekend!

32 wks

Less than 7 weeks to go (being induced at 39 wks)!!!
Your baby is just under 17 inches long from head to heel and weighs over 4 pounds (4lbs 1oz at appt last week). He will gain weight more quickly now and will probably double in weight between now and his birth. Just like a newborn, your baby sleeps most of the time. This week marks the peak of your baby's movements; from now until delivery he will have very little room to move around and you will probably notice a marked decrease in kicks, punches, and rolls.
Other developments this week:
* Nails. Baby will have completely formed fingernails and toenails.
* Head movement. He can turn his head from side to side.
* Organs continue to mature.
* Sucking. Your little one’s sucking muscles have matured and enable him to latch on and breastfeed once he arrives. A good sucking pattern is also a sign of good brain and muscle development. (We got to watch him practice his sucking during the ultrasound last week as well as his breathing :))
* Dreaming. Toward the end of the eighth month, he begins dreaming during sleep, according to brain scans. Due to his impressive brain development, his sleep will now include both REM and non-REM sleep stages. REM stands for "rapid eye movement," the dreaming stage of sleep.

Me this week...Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 32 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 20lbs at last appt
Maternity Clothes: Of course
Best Moment this week: We have a very exciting weekend...maternity pics on Friday and our first shower on Sunday. I am so pumped for this weekend :)
Gender: It's A Boy...Davis Samuel Ehrhardt
Movement: I LOVE IT and love seeing it but I'm pretty sure he's running out of room...
Food Craving: nothing crazy just food in general
What I miss: Sushi!!!! yum-o
Sleep: It's hard to get comfortable but I sleep good once I'm there....plus all of the bathroom breaks...yikes
What I am looking forward to: So much excitement in the coming weeks :)
Belly Button: In for now...
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, acne like a raging hormone 13 yr old and some swelling. But, it's all going to be worth it when I see him :)

Could I be any luckier?!?

Although I may gripe and complain, I truly have an amazing husband that I am so very thankful for. He has made the last seven years of my life crazy but amazing.

Who has given me something that I cannot even describe but whom I cannot wait to meet..

The best four legged child ever, who I know is going to be a great big sister...

My parents are always there for me no matter what and have made me into the person that I am today, which I am forever grateful.
I've always been Daddy's Little Girl...
My mom and I have a unique kind of love..although you don't know what was said during this picture I'm sure it was something along the lines of "act like you love each other" but I can only hope to be the mother to my children that she has been to us...
Let's see my brothers...well they weren't always "nice" to little sister but we have the greatest relationships of any siblings...and there is never a dull moment...
One of which has given me one of the best gifts ever...the luxury of becoming an aunt to two beautiful little boys, who I'm sure will be teaching Davis all sorts of things...
Both who have given me great sisters...

My husband also gave me a wonderful family of in-laws who also has gorgeous kids..

AND to think that's just immediate family and none of our fabulous friends....

It's HOT

So our a/c at work is STILL acting up. Today the thermostat says 90! SERIOUSLY, if I wanted to work in the heat I would have become a farmer or construction worker!!! I can feel my feet swelling as I type... Needless to say, I have a box fan sitting beside my desk blowing directly on me.

ANYways...another weekend has come and gone. I had a great time with the girls, ate some yummy food (including amazing desserts)and got some good shopping in. We literally shopped til we dropped. I got a few things for me for the hospital, some stuff for the house from Ikea, some adorable stuff for Davis and a couple other things for myself. I slept like a rock Friday (even running Sarah out of her own bed with my snoring...sorry Say) and Saturday nights (Roxie and I slept like Queens in the bed by ourselves).

I'm officially PUMPED for my shower on Sunday. I may or may not have looked at my registry to see what people have bought and I may have been extremely pumped to see what has been purchased :)

FRIDAY!!!

It just amazes me that all of this is inside of me!!! We had a great visit yesterday. I haven't gained any weight since my last visit but he sure has...weighing in at 4lbs 1oz. He is still measuring about a week ahead..maybe he'll be here before Oct?!? He is still 100% boy and verified it multiple times during our session. We could see his hair whipping around and his ginormous feet. It is truly amazing...just to think he's almost here!!
This weekend B is headed to the lake for Kemp's bachelor party and I'm headed away for a low key girls weekend. Tonight Sarah, Ashley H., Ashley V. and Tina are going to dinner and a movie. Looks like we are going to see The Other Guys(I'll let you know how it is Mon) and eating at Carrabba's! Then we're all staying at Sarah's..slumber partayyyy haha. Tomorrow morning we are heading to Charlotte for a day of shopping at South Park, Ikea and The Cheesecake Factory.
Happy Weekend :)

31 wks

This week baby may weigh 3 1/2 pounds, and he should be 16 inches in length. I'll be giving better measurements tomorrow since we have an ultrasound today. His belly is Buddha-like, round and hard because his liver is busily producing red blood cells. Some babies have a full head of hair by the 31st week of pregnancy-which by the ultrasounds Davis def does. It's common for babies to hiccup at this stage and for the hiccups to be strong enough to wake you in the middle of the night. Every time I wake up during the night he is just a movin'.
Me this week...Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 31 weeks
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 20lbs at last appt
Maternity Clothes: Of course
Best Moment this week: I'm going to go ahead and say that my drs appt this afternoon will be the highlight of the week..can't wait to see him!
Gender: It's A Boy...Davis Samuel Ehrhardt
Movement: I LOVE IT and love seeing it!
Food Craving: nothing crazy just food in general
What I miss: Sushi!!!! yum-o
Sleep: It's getting harder to get comfortable to fall asleep but I sleep hard once I'm there.
What I am looking forward to: Our 4d ultrasound today :)
Belly Button: In
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks and some swelling. But, it's not bad and I love being pregnant! Is it selfish of me to want him to stay in there forever so only I can feel him?? lol

Anniversary/Babymoon

So this week all I can think about is our dr appt and 4d sonogram tomorrow afternoon!!!!! AHHHH I can't wait to see him again :)
To put my mind in another direction we are trying to decide what to do for our anniversary/babymoon. With our 2 year anniversary only two weekends away all we know is that we want a trip away, but close, by ourselves for our last hoorah before Davis is here! We are thinking of Charleston. We can shop, eat, and maybe massages! It will be so nice to getaway, just us! How ironic is it that one of our friends, Tripp & Stacey, will also be celebrating their anniversary and are going to Charleston as well. Too funny.
As for an anniversary gift we are still planning to get the Flip HD video camera for each other.
Okay I'm headed home to my couch, remote, husband and sweet baby girl :)
BTW I have some stuff coming in the mail that I can't wait to show ya :)
