I'm trying to do better

I'm so sorry for being so slack with my blogging and reading up on everyone else. It has been so chaotic lately. We are just non stop! So here is what we have been up to over the past few days...
Friday we had supper with mom, Paul and Kelley and were all tuckered out pretty early...Davis and I had to rest up for our busy day Sat.
We woke up bright and early (not to this mama's liking) b/c D thought it was party time at 6:30 am. I told you it was bright and early. But that's ok it's hard to be frustrated when you have such a happy baby. We ran around like crazies trying to get the house together, fed, washed and ready by 11 (or should I say I did while dancing and singing trying to entertain boogie, while he looked at me like I was smoking crack, but laughed it off) for our big photo session with my friend Heather.
We then picked up Turner and Cole and off to some different spots for beautiful pictures. Let's just say it would be an understatement to say that she had her hands full. To get all three to look at the camera and smile...phew what a task. I'm sure I was looked at like a crazy person once again by all the passerbyers. After finishing up pictures we just hung out at mom and dad's...EVERYONE..as in everyone in my immediate family, brothers and their families, including Grandma (or known as Great Grandma these days with all the little ones). It was nice to have everyone together just hanging out with no agenda. Turner and Cole played a game of how many cars can we wash and actually get the water on the cars and not us. (You can only imagine how this one ended.) We ate a yummy supper then went on our ways. Our way (well Davis and I) was to the bed, counting sheep, b/c we were exhausted to say the least.
Cole playing with Duke and LillySo sleepy but scared he would miss something.Swinging in the hammock with two sweet boys...
Sunday it started all over with church, lunch, naps and coupon organizing. I'm so close to having my system down it isn't funny. I have "upgraded" my couponing to a 3 ring binder b/c I'm just too much for the zip lock bags these days. HA
Today I got all of this plus a case of water for less than $14.00!!!
Then, I went to our only grocery in town (Piggly Wiggly) and spent over $16 on six items, WITH coupons!!! Tell me how this makes sense.
Last night, D slept NONE, or maybe more like 4 hours, which felt like none. I think the pollen has just gotten the best of him and he is not having it. Of course, mom has been texting all day saying how good/sweet he is, while I've been holding my eyelids open with toothpicks.
Lastly, our sweet niece, Jordan, got her permit today!!! She was just 7 when BJ and I first started dating. Time flies I tell ya!! When I asked hubs if this made him feel old he said mo, I won't feel old til I'm in my 60s. Nice to know BJ, nice to know.
So, that just about sums it up. Hopefully I'll be better this week my friends. Hopefully.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm LOVING the Kelly's Kids bathing suit that I ordered for D a while back. It was on backorder and came in on Monday and oh. em. gee. SO STINKIN' CUTE!!!!

I'm LOVING that we have almost made it through the work week. These days I live for the weekends with babycakes. I envy those stay at home moms these days but at the same time very thankful to have a job so that I am able to buy all of the adorable things for babycakes.

I'm LOVING this pretty dress (but not it's pretty price...) Wouldn't it be great for Easter Sunday??
I'm LOVING that tomorrow is finally St. Patrick's Day and lovebug gets to wear his new St. Pat's outfit...EEK can't wait to show yall!

I'm LOVING Philadelphia Cooking Creme. They have four flavors, two of which we have tried (another in the fridge) and they are AWESOME. They can add a little kick to anything. Plus each container has like 4 recipes on it! Yum-O
I'm LOVING these precious kiddos. Are my neices not gorgeous?!? And D, well we already know he's precious ;)
Lastly, I'm LOVING my amazing family, awesome friends and our health. We are so fortunate.

Does Monday have to come??

We had a great weekend. It was busy but the kind of busy that I love!!!
Friday I had jury duty which got delayed then went back and it ended up getting worked out to where we didn't have to be there so I got to spend most of the day with my sweet boy! It was such a great day and it made me a little sad that I don't get to stay home with him everyday :( But since Mama wants a new house off to work she goes...
(D sporting his new hat.)
Anyways, Daddy took us to supper to a place that we haven't been since I was preggers.
Saturday we got up early, got ourselves together and headed to Cola for some quality family time shopping. We hit up a few places and got some pretty good deals at Target which I was super excited about. We had lunch at Olive Garden then took hubs to meet the guys for the USC baseball game and we headed home to get ready for Lacey's wedding (Lacey and I lived together Freshman and Sophomore year). I'm not lying when I say that I had the most HANDSOME date there...he was so cute in his little dump truck bubble..D was awesome all weekend except for on the way to the wedding and on the way home from the wedding (which was a good 30 mins away). It's def his gums. That was the hardest he has ever screamed and it upset me because there wasn't anything I could do to comfort him. Once he got out of his seat he calmed down and was good to go.
Today we headed back to Columbia to take D to his first of many Gamecock games. Of course it wouldn't have been complete without a picture with cocky...(I've been so excited about this moment for a long time and it finally came today!!!!)
Posing with the national champ trophy...
Uncle Paul went with us...
Hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

Still kickin'

We are still live and kickin'! It's been one c~r~a~z~y week! So happy that the weekend is in sight. It's been a hectic week at work to say the least and in the evenings I don't want to do anything but love on babycakes :)
Tomorrow I have jury duty so I don't have to work and it may sound bad but I'm excited about it...NO WORK!
Hubs is off this weekend so we will be spending the weekend as a family doing lots of fun things including one of my college roommate's wedding. I promise I'll try to do better but until then...it's Jersday and 10:00 so it's GTL time!

5 months old

I cannot believe how much baby love has changed in the past month! He is such a big boy these days. He has started so many new things and is just too cool.
So here it is...
This month started off a little rocky. He was a sick little fella with RSV and pneumonia. Once he was finished with his antibiotics and breathing treatments he developed thrush from the med. BUT he was in high spirits throughout it all.At our last appointment he weighed 16.9. He's in size 3 diapers and wearing size 6mth, 9mth and 6-12 mth clothes. (Big Boy)We started this month out trying cereal daily. He hated it for the first two weeks so we quit for a little while then started back last week and he likes it. He went from eating solids once a day to eating 3 times a day!!!! I'm serious when I say he LOVES to eat! He's tried bananas, apples, pears, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans and peas. His favorites are apples and squash. He eats cereal at breakfast, a fruit or veg at lunch and fruit or veg and cereal at night.
He normally sleep at least 10 hours at night but this past week he has been waking up to eat. He just can't seem to get enough!
He is more and more alert everyday. (Some call it nosy) He watches all of the kids at daycare like he's just taking it all in. He especially likes to watch his silly big cousins, Turner and Cole. He also likes to play with Roxie. When we're on the floor and she comes up to us he gets so tickled and pulls her ears or pokes her eyes and she just sits there and takes it.He went to his first softball game, Jordan's (only lasted about 30 mins but got to see lots of people), first soccer game, Turner and Payton's (made it the whole hour) and went to church nursery for the first time (as much as I hated it he just wants to "talk" so I thought it was time).
Speaking of talking. I don't know if he just likes the sound of his voice or what but he LOVES to talk too. Most mornings when he wakes up he just lays in his crib and talks for quite a while before he starts to fuss for us to get him. He still is happiest in the mornings.
His favorite "toy" is def his Jumperoo. He gets so excited when he gets going. Once this week he fell asleep in it but was still jumping!
He is a rolling machine, rolling all over the place!
He loves to give his Mama sugar and of course she thinks it's the BEST sugar ever!
Bath time is still his fav. He started splashing this month. By the end of bath time I'm usually soaked. He'll kick his feet, splash me and just giggle.
Lastly, he is REACHING for his Mama!! THIS really melts my heart :)
Sweet boy,
You are growing like a weed and change so much each day. You bring so much joy to our lives and make us so happy. We are so blessed to have been chosen to be YOUR parents. Just when we think we can't love you more you melt our hearts. We can't wait to see what next month brings.
Love,
Your crazy Mama

Money Maker

Okay people..brace yourselves for this one. This girl is learning to master the art of couponing. With the help of Kristy, I have finally figured it out AND I'm starting to MAKE MONEY buying stuff. Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would started couponing. It seems so, I don't know what the word would be but not me. Well brothas and sistas...write this one down...here it goes...

3 combos
3 TGI Fridays potato skins
2 Nivea chapsticks
2 Butterfinger Stackers
for a grand total of $0.23 AND I got $8 in register rewards for my next trip PLUS at the bottom of my receipt there was a number you could call for a survey and get $3 off your next order!!!
*Note I did use 8 rr's and a few coupons

2 Oral B Cross Action Power toothbrushes
1 contact solution (can't remember the brand)
1 Dawn detergent
