Miscellany Monday

Have yall missed me? I feel like it's been f~o~r~e~v~e~r!!
Well summer is here in full force and I love it! Reasons why...

1. We have been spending the last few weekends in the sun by some type of body of water.
   
2. I now have my color back. It's just makes me feel good. And don't ya know...tan fat looks way better than pasty white fat ;)
3. Our baby is seriously just the cutest baby ever...or at least we think. And to see that cute baby in his adorable summer digs....EEK I could eat him up....Smocking, Jon Jons, monogrammed shirts, cute little bathing suits..you name it, he has it!!
4. Summer Veggies! Did I seriously just say that?? Coming from someone who used to only eat green beans for veggies... I am loving me some fresh squash and zucchini!
5. Ice cold beverages by said bodies of water. I haven't really drank much since summer before last (we were TTC) and while I was pregnant I wanted one so bad. Now I can only drink a couple but they just taste better when you're by the pool/lake/river/ocean. Is this just me??
6. VAY-CAY-SHUN...I'm always excited for vacation but I'm even more excited about it this year with our little lovebug.
   
7. It's time to start planning sweet boy's 1st birthday party and I can't wait to get started...if only I could decide on a theme/color scheme!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Miscellany Monday

Just in case yall forgot...I've got the sweetest, happiest baby...EVERRRRR. He has been getting some extra snuggle time with his Mama b/c he has her wrapped around his lil pinky and she (although she said she would NEVER do this) has been letting him sleep with her when he wakes up before she is ready for him to get up. Of course once he gets snuggled up he goes right back to sleep for a bit longer :)

• Saturday Davis and I went on a little trip. We went and met Nicole and the kiddos for lunch (they were headed to Disney on Ice which she said they absolutely LOVED) did some shopping, went to a shower (a lingerie shower at that-yes I took my baby to a lingerie shower) and to a birthday party. It was quite the busy day. One would think that a certain little fella would have slept all night b/c of that busy day...WRONG! Davis with Dawson and KaydenThe bride and sweet boy
  

Some family...

• Sunday we went to Uncle Trey's church to see him sing in the Easter Cantata. I have to say watching my big bro in the church choir is quite humorous. He is a pretty funny fella and doesn't put it away during church either...his facial expressions were quite hilarious.
• Husband wanted to take babylove to his sister's for the afternoon and us go to the river. I did not want to go but went and ended up thoroughly enjoying it. I've been reading a book for months now (it's not that it isn't any good I just don't get the time) and I read half of it while he was fishing. It was so peaceful. Not to mention I caught some rays...

• Does anyone remember this baloon?? IT IS STILL KICKIN'! Or should I say was kickin' b/c I def put the scissors to it tonight b/c I was tired of looking at it. Seriously a balloon that lasts over 2 months? Gma got her money out of it ;)

A certain little boy got his first tooth this weekend AND started crawling. Seriously, both in the same weekend. Why is he growing up so fast?!?! Def time to baby proof-Davis is on the loose!

Miscellany Monday

Today I'm linking up with Carissa for Miscellany Monday.

1. Saturday Ashley and I went and saw Just Go With It and it did not disappoint. I'm a fan of Adam Sandler and you throw in Jennifer Aniston and well we all know it's just set for greatness.

2. Today at lunch was operation rape Wal Mart and Walgreen's. I did good but was slightly disappointed with WalMart. They didn't have a few things that were on sale and on a few items they weren't listed on sale as they said online. (ahemm) However, I still managed to get a Gillette Fusion razor, Nieva chapstick, tampons, Goody's ouchless hair ties, two packs of Orbit gum, two travel size Aquafresh toothpaste, Philadelphia cooking creme and herbal essence moose for $15 after coupons and register rewards. I still have $3 in register rewards that expire tomorrow (I forgot to use them) so I will be going back either today or tomorrow and getting something else so that I don't lose them. Woo Hoo for couponing :) I'm slowly learning!

3. If I don't get my house organized soon I'm going to lose it. Hubs thinks I'm ridiculous but it is seriously driving me CRAZY. We are talking nut-house crazy. D's closet, the guest room and my kitchen cabinets are out of control. I think I will start in D's room tonight.

4. Baby D has become slightly obsessed with big sis Foxie Roxie. Now that he knows how to work his hands, when she is close enough he is holding on to her ears or poking her poor eyeballs. And of course sweet baby girl just sits there and takes it. I can't wait to see them as he gets older. I know that she will have a new love for him once he starts eating "real" food and begins sharing with her.

Miscellany Monday

Today I'm linking up with Carissa at lowercase letters for miscellany monday.

1. Davis has tried pears and peas so far. After the initial shock of the pears I think he decided that he likes them. By the third day of eating them they were going down with no problem. Now the peas on the other hand...he's not a big fan. He makes the funniest faces and his whole body shakes like he's trying to tell us man that's gross!
2. We had a great weekend with friends and Davis got lots of sugar.


3. Davis has also mastered "flirting". It is the absolute funniest thing ever. He bats his pretty eyelashes and sticks his tongue and just giggles. There was a group of young girls sitting behind us in church yesterday and he flirting like crazy and they were just a laughing at him. I told him he should stop before he got them in trouble...it's a little too early for that :)
4. I got some adorable stuff in the mail today! I can't wait to show yall but you'll have to wait a tad bit longer!
